Obituary of Maria-Eugenia Merida

Maria-Eugenia Merida was born in La Paz, Bolivia to the late Carlos & Elena von Boeck. She married Alejandro E. Merida on December 7, 1973. Together they welcomed two children Oscar & Patricia. While her children were young, she and her husband moved to Virginia, United States. During her life she touched many people. She accomplished many things among them instilling faith in God in her family. Her family came first and her four grandchildren were her pride and joy. She entered into eternal rest peacefully November 3, 2011. She was surrounded by her husband, children and their spouses. She is survived by her husband Alejandro, her children Oscar (Staci) Merida, Patty (Kevin) Tracy and 4 grandchildren: Ian (3), Nicholas (3), Elena (2) and Eric (9 months). She is further survived by a sister Carmen von Boeck and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed but always remembered and loved. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Advent Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10am at the Church of the Nativity in Burke, VA. Immediately following the mass, she will be laid to rest at Fairfax Memorial Park.
