Obituary of Ariel Anibal Lang Picón

Ariel (Andy) Anibal Lang, age 43, of Falls Church, Virginia died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Fairfax Hospital. Ariel was born on November 27, 1967 in Guatemala City, the son of Rudy and Melania Lang, and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1977. He attended public schools in Northern Virginia including George C. Marshall High School. He enjoyed sports, debating, singing, dancing and comedy. Ariel was an avid Redskin fan, who never missed a game. His infectious smile and laughter was loved by all. He touched many lives with his funny stories and love for life. Ariel lived everyday to its fullest and always kept a good outlook on every situation. He was a free spirit that enjoyed everything life had to offer. Ariel is survived by his wife, Trish Lang; his children, Kelsey and Gregg Lang; his step children, Jacob, Taylor and Joseph Hundley; his mother, Melania Lang and step-father, Miguel Quelca of Falls Church, Virginia; his brother, Eddy Lang, sister in-law, Sabrina Lang of Haymarket, Virginia; his former wife, Victoria Lang of Herndon, Virginia ; former companion, Sandra Vasquez of Herndon, Virginia; two aunts, Maria Villamar of Centreville, Virginia, and Sandra Picón, of Quezaltenango, Guatemala; one uncle, Victor Perez of Guatemala City, two nieces, Devon and Ava Lang and a step-grandson, Jordan Le, and numerous cousins. His father preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20, at 7 PM at the Arlington Temple United Methodist Church, 1835 North Nash St. Arlington, VA 22209.
