I was so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. My late husband Bob Sartori and I were under his leader ship at Arlington church of Christ for many years. He was such a good minister and we grew spiritually under his leader ship. I send condolences to the family. Sylvia Sartori

I mourn the passing of a great man in my life. Mike was my preacher during the high school and college years. Most of that time (1966-72), I was away at school, so he really didn't know me that well. But that didn't matter to Mike. Once when I was at Abilene Christian, someone knocked on my dorm room door. When I answered, there was Mike. He told my folks that he'd touch base with me while he attended Lectureship. So Mike tracked me down in my dorm. I was impressed. After moving back to the area in the late 80s, I went to Wednesday evening Bible Class at the King of Prussia Church of Christ where Mike was the minister. In his usual encouraging manner, he treated me like an old friend, introducing me to the whole church. Later, when he started the Capitol Hill Prayer Breakfast, he included me again. After he moved to the Silver Spring congregation, he invited me to attend the monthly preachers meeting, even though I was not a "full-time" preacher. I was preaching at the Spotsylvania Church of Christ every Sunday and working for the Defense Intelligence Agency Monday thru Friday. If you've ever heard Mike speak, you quickly discovered he was a Master communicator. I could listen to Mike for hours. Even though I've been out of touch in recent years, I will miss him dearly as a friend and mentor. I've attended more than my share of funerals this year and Mike's passing is just one more source of grief I must endure. Mike, say hello to my mom, Oma Lee, and my youngest son, Timothy. I look forward to seeing you all again safe in the arms of our Lord.

I remember Mike from 1958, when my family worshipped at the Springfield Church of Christ. (Melissa, that was before you). And I recall with the elders kind of fired him, so he would go on to Lipscomb. He preached the funeral sermons for both my parents, and I became aware of Alzheimer’s, when I called him on his birthday and he did not recall either of those events.
He and Ruth were wonderful. I’m pleased I got to visit with them in Arlington, before he moved to GA.
He will be missed

I am so thankful that God created our world with people like Mike Anglin, who spent his lifetime learning, growing, and giving. I am thankful that we knew Mike and had the benefit of his example. He will be missed. My husband, Dr. G.K. Pennington, had the highest respect and appreciation for Mike as they worked together on lectureships at King of Prussia church of Christ and Ohio Valley University. G.K. believed it was a privilege to know and work with Mike. I offer my sympathy to his family. - Jo Pennington, retired preacher's wife and dean of OVU's College of Education
