Obituary of Mark Stephen Boyce

Mark Boyce passed away suddenly at his home in Laurel, MD, on March 16, 2022. Born in Spain to Francis and Maria Boyce.  Loving father of Ella, and brother to Ronald.   Mark loved soccer and played on several leagues. Mark took up disc golf as a less physically demanding sport than soccer is, and for decades was a permanent fixture at Calvert DGC in College Park- most days after work and every Sunday he had a disc in his hand.  Mark proudly served as the president of the Calvert Flyers Disc Golf Club for several years, and still today, 20 years later, is known as the legendary "El Presidente" by the disc golf community.   

He also enjoyed bicycling, playing poker with the fellas, and had been an avid collector/player of 1980's video games; he and Ella had been on a quest to "beat the boss" in every single Sega Genesis game ever produced 

Family and friends will gather to honor the life of Mark Stephen Boyce on Saturday April 2, 2022, at Advent Funeral & Cremation Services located at 9013 Annapolis Road, Lanham, MD 20706 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services being held at 11:00.
