Obituary of David Peter Michels

David Michels passed away suddenly on Sunday February 25, 2024, at age 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Eugene, and his sisters Karen and Martha. He is survived by his siblings Timothy, Donald (Li), Marian (Steve), Monica (Ed) and Ann (Paolo), and nine nieces and nephews: Daniel, Andrew, Luke, Eva, Timothy, Sarah, Bert, Lily and Sophie. And of course, his beloved son (cat), Percy. 

David (“Unks”) was born and raised in Philadelphia and later moved to Maryland.  He loved the outdoors, especially the Chesapeake Bay, the Jersey shore and the Appalachian mountains.  He had a passion for bird-watching, cooking, gardening, road trips and getting together with family. David also very much enjoyed his position at the Linthicum office of the International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots.

David, we miss you so much!
